Scott Browne

Scott Browne serves as the Chief People Officer at Sandfire since May 2022, bringing extensive experience in human resources management from previous roles at Rio Tinto. At Rio Tinto, Scott held multiple leadership positions, including Head of People Services, overseeing HR functions across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas, and General Manager HR for the Australia & Asia Pacific regions. Key accomplishments include significant improvements in employee relations, talent management, and HR service delivery, alongside driving cultural and operational transformations. Scott's earlier career includes various human resources leadership and project roles within Rio Tinto Iron Ore and experience as an Industrial Inspector with the Department of Consumer and Employee. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Curtin University, specializing in Economics and Commercial Law.
