Tareq Khan

Tareq Khan is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Head of Finance at Sandfire since June 2024. Previously, Tareq held several notable positions at Perenti, including Vice President Finance and Group Financial Controller, from February 2021 to April 2024. Tareq’s extensive career also includes roles at Oil Search Limited from October 2010 to December 2020, where Tareq served as VP Transformation Office, VP Group Financial Control, and Finance and Planning Manager. Earlier experience at BHP included positions as Finance Manager for the Australian Production Unit, Senior Financial Accountant, and Management Accountant between March 2002 and September 2010. Tareq began the professional journey in various roles from January 1995 to February 2002. Tareq holds a degree from Murdoch University, completed from 1990 to 1994.
