Annie Lilje

Principal Scientist, R&d, Computer Science at Sandia Corporation

Annie Lilje is a Principal Scientist in R&D for Computer Science at Sandia National Laboratories, where research focuses on the application of AI, Machine Learning, and Geospatial Science to national security challenges, including cybersecurity and climate change. Previously, at the University of New Mexico, Annie served as a lecturer in Geographic Information Science, covering a wide array of geospatial methodologies. At Esri, leadership was demonstrated as a Senior Engineer, designing and implementing advanced geospatial applications for the Intelligence and Defense sectors. Annie's career began at The Aerospace Corporation, contributing to multi-sensor data fusion applications, and further included foundational work in Geographic Information Systems at the California Institute of Technology. Annie holds a PhD and M.S. in Geological Sciences from the University of California, Riverside, and a B.S. in Earth Sciences from Southern Connecticut State University.
