Deborah Frincke, PhD has an extensive and varied work experience. Deborah currently serves as the Associate Labs Director (Vice President) for National Security Programs at Sandia National Laboratories. Prior to that, they were the Associate Laboratory Director for the National Security Science Directorate at DOE's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. At the National Security Agency (NSA), they held the position of NSA/CSS Director of Research, leading the organization's research efforts. Deborah also served as the Deputy Director Research Directorate in a DoD Agency and held the role of Chief Scientist for Cybersecurity Research at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Additionally, they have held various editorial positions for journals such as IEEE Security Privacy, Journal of Computer Security, and International Journal of Computer Networks. Deborah has also worked with the United States Department of Defense and the University of Washington as an Affiliate Professor.
Deborah Frincke, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Computer Science and Security from the University of California, Davis, between 1981 and 1992.
