Isaac Nelson

Isaac Nelson is an accomplished mechanical engineer with extensive experience in research and development at Sandia National Laboratories, where roles include Research and Development Mechanical Engineer and Research and Development Systems Engineer since September 2019. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah, focusing on experimental setups for materials characterization, and collaborating across various disciplines, as well as being a Graduate Teaching Assistant nominated for TA of the Year. Earlier work experience encompasses teaching in Fort Worth ISD, serving as an Airman in the United States Air Force, and holding multiple research and teaching assistant positions during academic studies at Northern Arizona University, where Isaac earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in the same field.
