Jeremy Townsend

R&d Nuclear Engineer

Jeremy Townsend is an experienced R&D Nuclear Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories since November 2021. Prior to this role, Jeremy served as an International Program Manager for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) from September 2018 to December 2021, while contracted through CNS Y-12. Jeremy's earlier experience includes positions as a Security Specialist and Undergraduate and Graduate Research Engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from January 2009 to January 2018, where technical analyses and recommendations contributed to the Global Nuclear Detection Architecture. Additionally, Jeremy worked as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Knox County Sheriff's Office in Maine from June 2006 to July 2013. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering and a Bachelor's of Science in Nuclear Engineering obtained from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, along with an Associate of Science in Engineering from Pellissippi State Community College.
