Kyle Hammond has a strong background in engineering and research in the nuclear industry. Kyle is currently a Principal Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 2014 to 2022, where they held the role of R&D Engineer and also served as a Post Master's Technical Appointment. Before joining Los Alamos National Laboratory, Kyle worked at the University of New Mexico as a Graduate Research Assistant from 2012 to 2013, contributing to a project involving modeling nuclear reactor accident scenarios. Kyle also gained experience as a Technical Undergraduate Student at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 2009 to 2011, participating in various projects related to nuclear safety.

Kyle Hammond completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico State University from 2007 to 2011. Kyle then went on to pursue a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of New Mexico from 2012 to 2013.
