Michael Doty

Michael Doty has over 15 years of work experience in various project management and engineering roles. Michael started their career at The Mind Research Network where they worked as a Biomedical Engineer and contributed to the development and integration of fMRI software/hardware. During their time there, they also invented and patented an fMRI input device that was used at multiple partner sites.

In 2012, Michael joined Sandia National Laboratories as an Engineering Program/Project Lead. In this role, they are responsible for the project management policies, processes, and software applications for the nuclear facilities group at the laboratory. Michael serves as the Program Lead, providing tactical and strategic guidance to the program owner and managing the PMO's active projects, budget, risks, and deliverables. Additionally, they oversee a team of PMP-certified project managers who provide project management coaching and mentoring to a business group of 100 employees. Michael's work at Sandia National Laboratories involves managing an average of 10 projects at a time with a yearly completion rate of 15 projects.

Michael Doty has an Executive MBA from UNM Anderson School of Management, obtained between 2006 and 2008. Michael also holds a B.S.E in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, obtained between 1998 and 2002. In addition to their degrees, Michael Doty has obtained several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and CMII-C Configuration Management.
