Rico Magbanua

Rico Magbanua has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being an R&D Systems Engineer / Project Lead at Sandia National Laboratories since December 2016. Prior to that, they served in various roles in the US Navy, including Exercise Planning Officer from August 2015 to January 2017, Director of Operations from September 2014 to June 2015, and Graduate Student from June 2012 to June 2014. Rico also had a long career in the US Navy, with roles such as Deputy Branch Chief from November 2010 to January 2012, Operations Department Head / Project Manager from November 2008 to October 2010, Air Operations Manager / Training Department Head from February 2006 to October 2008, and Search and Rescue, Combat Logistics Pilot / Instructor Pilot - Program Manager from August 1999 to January 2006.

Rico Magbanua obtained a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering from San Jose State University in 1996. In addition to their formal education, Rico also holds various certifications in fields such as project management, aviation, and systems engineering.
