Thomas Whittington

Thomas Whittington is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development, project management, and manufacturing engineering. Currently serving as a Principal R&D Systems Engineer and Program Manager at Sandia National Laboratories since July 2019, Thomas has held several leadership roles, including S&E Engineering Project Manager. Prior experience includes a decade at Honeywell Aerospace as the Gold Business Enterprise Lead and a Principal Engineer, alongside positions at St. Jude Medical, Eclipse Aviation, and Honda Aircraft Corporation. Thomas began his career in engineering roles at EMCORE Fiber Optics, Emcore Corporation, Zia Laser, Radiant Photonics, and Codestream Technologies. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University between 1988 and 1993.
