Christy Steele

Christy Steele is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in media production and strategic consulting. Currently serving as Principal at Sands Capital since March 2019, Christy previously held the position of Digital Media Producer at Firebrand Strategy, where documentary series and media marketing strategies were developed. Prior to that role, Christy was Senior Photo Editor at Science Magazine, orchestrating digital asset management and directing teams to translate complex scientific ideas into compelling visual content. Additional roles include Associate Producer positions at Smithsonian Channel and Optomen Television, as well as experience at National Geographic as Photographic Coordinator and Freelance Photo Editor. Christy holds an MBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and possesses a Post-Baccalaureate certificate from the University of Virginia. An undergraduate degree in English, Psychology, and Studio Art was earned from Georgetown University.
