Amanda Porter possesses extensive experience in the field of counseling and substance abuse treatment. Currently serving as Program Director at Sandstone Care since August 2019, Amanda oversees the in-patient program and supervises counseling staff while ensuring adherence to clinical policies and participating in staff recruitment. Prior roles include Primary Therapist at Sandstone Care, Substance Abuse Counselor at The Fellowship House, and Substance Abuse & Mental Health Counselor at DCCCA, Inc., where Amanda provided a wide range of therapeutic services and case management. Earlier positions include Residential Substance Abuse Counselor at Serenity Foundation of Texas and counseling internships at Abilene Christian University Psychology Clinic and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Abilene Christian University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
