Amie Banford

Amie Banford currently serves as the Head of Student Services at Sandwell College since August 2024. Prior to this role, Amie held the position of Head of Pastoral and Welfare at Cadbury Sixth Form College from October 2012 to August 2024, where responsibilities included being the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Amie also has experience as a Learning Services Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead at the Department for Work and Pensions from September 2006 to October 2012, and as Contract Manager/Centre Manager at South & City College Birmingham from 2003 to 2006. The career began as a Learning Support Teacher. Amie's educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Business Leadership and Management and Chartered Manager status from Aston Business School, NVQ Level 3 in Business Management from Walsall College, a Higher National Diploma in Design and Visual Communications from BCUIC, and a Further Education Post 16 Teaching qualification from Birmingham City University, along with an NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance from Walsall College.
