Julie then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse at South Dakota State University from 2010 to 2011. Julie furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Environmental Health and Infectious Disease from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health from 2008 to 2010.
