Jason Nelson

Jason Nelson is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Board Member for both Fargo Police Foundation and Fargo Public Schools since March and July 2024, respectively. In the role of Senior Director of Facilities & Support Services at Sanford Health since September 2018, Jason also previously held the position of Director of Safety and Security. With over a decade of experience at Fargo Police Department, Jason progressed from Patrol Officer to Detective, then Police Sergeant, and ultimately to Lieutenant, where responsibilities included oversight of the investigations division. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a Criminal Justice emphasis from North Dakota State University, as well as an MBA from the University of Mary, and graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2016.
