Gene Yeo

Gene Yeo serves as the Chief Scientist at Sanford Laboratories for Innovative Medicines since 2023 and is a Professor at the University of California, San Diego, where research focuses on large-scale biochemical and molecular methods to explore RNA processing in development and diseases such as neurodegeneration and autism. Yeo holds multiple advisory and directorial roles, including membership on the Board of Directors for the n-Lorem Foundation and co-founding Trotana, Inc. and Eclipse BioInnovations. Educational background includes a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of California, San Diego, and dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Yeo also serves as a Visiting Professor at the National University of Singapore.
