Junfen

Junfen Ma is the Head of Genomic Medicine Purification Process Development at Sanofi, leading the development of innovative purification processes for gene therapy products. With over 20 years of experience in biologics and gene therapy, Junfen has held significant roles at major companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Takeda, Amgen, Shire, and Genentech. They have successfully overseen purification processes for multiple late-stage biologics and biosimilars, and have led cross-functional teams in process development and characterization. Junfen is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, having previously earned multiple degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University and MIT.
