Vimalathithan Devaraj

Vimalathithan Devaraj is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in biotechnology and computational biology. Vimalathithan served as Principal Scientist at Perfect Day, focusing on upstream and downstream process enhancements in fermentation, and later held the position of Senior Research Investigator at Syngene International Limited, where contributions included leading a high-performing computational biology team, developing novel workflows for target identification, and creating predictive models. Prior to these roles, Vimalathithan conducted doctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, studying phenotypic plasticity in epithelial-mesenchymal transitions, and began a career as an Assistant System Engineer Trainee at Tata Consultancy Services. Currently, Vimalathithan works as Principal Biostatistician at Sanofi, specializing in biomarker and evidence generation. Educational qualifications include a B.Tech. in Industrial Biotechnology from SASTRA and a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from IIT Guwahati.
