Michael Greenberg

Michael Greenberg, MD, MPH, serves as the Global Medical Franchise Head for E Coli Sepsis Vaccines at Sanofi since August 2011, where responsibilities include leading global medical strategies for vaccine candidates. Previously at Sanofi, roles included Vice President for North America Vaccines and Associate Vice President overseeing a team of epidemiologists across multiple countries. Prior experience includes Director of Clinical Development for vaccines at CSL, with a significant focus on pandemic H1N1 vaccines, and Director of Epidemiology at GlaxoSmithKline. Early career roles included Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the CDC and Assistant Health Officer in San Mateo County, coupled with pediatric practice and teaching at UCSF. Academia features as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF since May 2016. Michael Greenberg holds degrees from Cornell University, Medical College of Georgia, and an MPH from UC Berkeley, along with leadership education from London Business School and IMD.
