Nikolay Smirnov

Nikolay Smirnov is a seasoned professional in quality management and assurance within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Site Quality Head and Chief of the Quality Control Division at Sanofi since September 2021, Nikolay's expertise includes overseeing quality assurance during technology transfers and maintaining product lifecycle management strategies. Previously, as a Quality Development Manager at Abbott, a Lead Analytical Transfer Manager and Analytical Transfer Team Leader at BIOCAD, and an AS&T Analyst at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Nikolay implemented quality by design principles, managed analytical method transfers, and validated GMP systems. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology from the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and a degree in Biochemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University, graduating with honors.
