Shraddha Sharma

Shraddha Sharma, Ph.D., is a distinguished leader in the field of RNA-based therapies with extensive experience in both research and development. Currently serving as Director of In Vitro Biology and Mechanism of Action in Discovery Biology at Sanofi since March 2022, Shraddha directs efforts to bridge knowledge gaps in RNA therapies and strategizes mechanism of action studies for next-generation vaccine candidates. Prior roles include Principal Scientist at Sanofi, where leadership of the in vitro biology team focused on therapeutic mRNA delivery, and Senior Scientist at Translate Bio, overseeing pulmonary programs and managing cross-functional teams. Early research endeavors took place at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, concentrating on RNA editing and immune cells, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo, where Shraddha developed expertise in gene regulation and molecular biology techniques. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University at Buffalo, alongside a strong foundation in zoology and biological sciences.
