Yorgos Psarellis

Yorgos Psarellis is a Senior Computational/Machine Learning Scientist in Translational Medicine at Sanofi, focusing on biology-informed AI/ML applications in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics since February 2024. Prior to this role, Yorgos served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Bayesian Optimization and Experimental Design from October 2022 to March 2024. A PhD student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from August 2017 to September 2022, Yorgos also worked as a Technology Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University, contributing to educational projects in nonlinear dynamics. Additional experience includes tutoring in STEM subjects and internships at BASF and NANOVIIS in safety communication and product development, respectively. Yorgos holds a PhD and a dual Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Johns Hopkins, along with a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
