Shmuel Banai

Shmuel Banai has held a variety of roles in the medical field since 2004. From 2004 to 2006, they were the Medical Director at Neovasc Inc. From 2006 to 2014, they were the Director of the Division of Cardiology and the Director of Interventional Cardiology at Tel Aviv Medical Center. In 2014, they began working at Tel Aviv University as a Professor of Medicine, Head of the Walton Chair of Interventional Cardiology, and Head of The Nicholas and Elizabeth Slezak Super Center for Cardiac Research and Biomedical Engineering. In 2020, they began working at Sanolla as the Chief Medical Officer.

Shmuel Banai completed their Doctor of Medicine - MD in Medicine at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. From 1988 to 1992, they completed a Fellowship in Vascular Biology, Cell Biology, and Angiogenesis at the National Institutions of Heatlth, NHLBI.
