Anuj Soni

Anuj Soni is a highly experienced professional in the field of cybersecurity and malware research, currently serving as a Reverse Engineer at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory since March 2025. As the Owner and Principal Malware Reverse Engineer at Breakpoint Cybersecurity since March 2024, Anuj combines entrepreneurial skills with expertise in malware analysis. Anuj has been a Senior Instructor and Course Author at the SANS Institute since February 2012, contributing to advanced training in reverse-engineering malware. Previous roles include Principal Cybersecurity Analyst at UnitedHealth Group, Principal Threat Researcher at BlackBerry, and Senior Threat Researcher at Cylance Inc., along with extensive experience at Booz Allen Hamilton and the CERT Coordination Center. Anuj holds both an MS and a BS in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
