Chris MacHler

Chris Machler is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in cloud engineering and DevOps. Currently serving as the Lead Cloud Engineer at SANS Institute since April 2022, Chris previously held roles at BlackLine as a Systems Engineer - Cloud Services and at SANS Institute in various engineering capacities, including Lead Operations Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer. Prior experience includes leadership as President and DevOps Engineer at Evergreen IT Services L.L.C., as well as roles at TEKsystems, IP Commerce, Trimble, Rosslyn Analytics, Solix Inc., and Castle Point Mortgage. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University and possesses a strong background in AWS technologies, automation, and team management.
