Randy Marchany

Randy Marchany has been serving in various roles related to information security, including as the Chief Information Security Officer at Virginia Tech since 2010. Prior to that, Randy held positions at VA Tech IT Security Office and the SANS Institute as a Senior Instructor. Randy is currently a member of the VigiTrust Global Advisory Board, founded in 2011. Throughout their career, Randy has contributed to the security and compliance industry through information sharing and collaboration with key stakeholders. Marchany also has a background in computer security, having obtained a BSCS/MSEE degree from Virginia Tech. Additionally, Randy served as a board member for ren-isac from 2006 to 2016.
