Ryan Thompson

Ryan Thompson is a Senior Cloud Security Researcher at CrowdStrike, specializing in threat hunting and adversary emulation across AWS and Azure since February 2022. With a solid background in security research, Ryan has conducted postmortem analyses of attacks, developed automation capabilities, and improved detection methods. Additionally, Ryan serves as an Associate Instructor at the SANS Institute, teaching Cloud Security Threat Detection, and has experience in creating educational content in security analytics at Elastic. Previous roles include senior security positions at Alert Logic and a systems analysis role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management from the University of Houston.
