William Meyers

William Meyers is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Mentor/Teacher's Assistant at SANS Institute since August 2019, William has contributed to courses SEC504, SEC503, SEC599, and SEC660. As a Principal Cyber Security Researcher at XOR Security since July 2018, William leads a penetration test team focused on high-value asset assessments for government clients using advanced tools and methodologies. Previous roles include Principal Security Researcher at Defense Point Security, where William provided cyber threat intelligence and incident escalation support, and Security Operations Center Team Lead at SRC, overseeing incident management for government customers. With a foundational background as an IT Security Engineer at CBTS and Oklahoma State University, William holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Assurance and Forensics, along with two associate degrees in Information Technology from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology.
