Carlos Perez has worked in the telecommunications industry since 2005. Carlos began their career at CODETEL as a Switch Translations Engineer, where they implemented customer line and trunk translations on Class-5 and Class-4 carrier-grade TDM switches, servicing the core PSTN/VoIP network. Carlos also worked in the implementation of a retail/access VoIP network and the migration of obsolete TDM systems to VoIP, and provided support on core network and customer related issues. In 2009, Carlos joined Grandstream Networks as a Test and Support Engineer, where they were responsible for managing technical issues of Grandstream's FXS/FXO gateway product line. Carlos also provided pre/post-sales support to service providers and distributors on voice/video over IP SIP-based solutions, and worked closely with software engineering reporting bugs and submitting feature requests for product enhancement. In 2010, Carlos joined Sansay, where they held the roles of VP Professional Services, TAC Director, Support Manager, and Senior System Support Engineer.

Carlos Perez obtained a Graduate Certificate in Data Communications from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo in 2005-2006. Carlos then received a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the same institution in 2001-2005. Finally, they completed an MS in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland in 2007-2009.
