Amy Zimmerman has extensive experience in the sports industry, particularly in the field of horse racing. Amy began their career at Santa Anita Park in 1986, where they served as the Senior Vice President and Executive Producer. In 1988, they joined NBC Sports as a Producer, focusing on horse racing events such as the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup. Amy also worked as a Producer for NBC Sports during the Winter and Summer Olympic Games.
In 2002, Zimmerman became the first employee hired at HRTV, a network dedicated to Thoroughbred race track coverage. Amy held the position of Executive Producer and Senior Vice President of Production & Programming until 2015 when the network was sold.
Zimmerman also worked at ESPN from 2006 to 2011 as a Producer for their Breeders' Cup horse racing telecasts and Belmont Stakes coverage.
Throughout their career, Zimmerman has shown expertise in all aspects of production, from strategy and talent acquisition to distribution.
Amy Zimmerman attended Miraleste High School from 1975 to 1979. Amy then went on to the University of Southern California from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism & History.
