April Bresee

April Bresee is an experienced hospitality professional currently serving as Senior Hospitality Manager at Santa Anita Park since April 2022. With a strong background in education as a Special Education Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher at Learn4Life Network from September 2018 to April 2022, April developed a culinary curriculum for at-risk populations in South LA. Prior roles include Assistant General Manager at the Michelin-starred Manresa Restaurant, Restaurant Manager at Mina Group, and Food and Beverage Operations Manager at Marriott Hotels. April also owned The Lace Apron, a full-service catering and event company. Educational achievements include a Culinary Arts Certificate in Hospitality Management from The Culinary Institute of America and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
