Christopher D. Harris

Treasurer at Santa Barbara Symphony

Chris joined the Symphony board of directors in 2014 and currently serves as treasurer. He is an audit and advisory partner with Damitz, Brooks, Nightingale, Turner & Morrisset, who moved to Santa Barbara in 2012 after spending more than 12 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor of the Arts in Economics and Accounting degree from Claremont McKenna College. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Chris has a passion for serving the nonprofit industry both in a professional and personal capacity. In addition to his role with the Symphony he serves as a board member, volunteer, and treasurer for Santa Barbara Meals on Wheels, C.A.R.E.4Paws, and as an advisory board member for Claremont McKenna’s Financial Economics Institute and on the Athletics Department. He also is an active volunteer and supporter of a number of other local nonprofits.
