Santa Barbara Symphony
Erik Rynearson is a highly accomplished violist with extensive experience in prominent orchestras. Currently serving as Principal Viola for the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra and the Santa Barbara Symphony since November 2014 and October 2012, respectively, Erik also holds Principal Viola positions with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and has been a Third Chair Viola with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra since June 2011. Additional roles include Section Viola for the Pacific Symphony and Substitute Viola for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. With a solid educational background including a PostGraduate degree in Orchestral Studies from the New World Symphony and two degrees from Indiana University Bloomington, Erik has built a robust career in orchestral performance.

For over 60 years, the Santa Barbara Symphony has been lauded for its unique ability to deliver brilliant concerts, engage the community at large, and deliver powerful music education programs.
