Renee Cooper is currently the Marketing Manager at the Santa Barbara Symphony. Prior to this position, they served as the Operations Director for Extended University at CSU Channel Islands from August 2008 to February 2020. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the Extended University's daily operations and ensuring that it provided quality education opportunities for non-traditional students and local organizations. From February 2006 to April 2008, Ms. Cooper served as the Registrar and Director of Student Services for PaCE at the University of California, UCSB. In this role, they oversaw PaCE's registration process and worked to develop new programs and services that would benefit adult learners. Prior to their work in higher education, Ms. Cooper spent 11 years as the Production Manager for UCSB Housing and Residential Services. In this role, they managed a wide variety of production-related tasks for the Housing and Residential Services department, including event planning, budgeting, and facility maintenance.
Renee Cooper received their Doctor of Education from CSU Fresno in Higher Education and Social Justice. Renee also holds an MA from Antioch University in Organizational Management and a BA from UC Santa Barbara in Psychology. Renee began their education with a diploma from Flintridge Preparatory School.
