Chris Turner

Chris Turner has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on operations and leadership roles. From 2017 onwards, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Santa Clara Family Health Plan. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Consultant at FluidEdge Consulting.

Before joining Santa Clara Family Health Plan, Chris spent a significant portion of their career at Soundpath Health (formerly Puget Sound Health Partners). Chris joined the company in 2007 as the Chief Operations Officer and was responsible for overseeing the initial launch, marketing strategies, provider network development, and service area expansions. During their tenure, the organization exceeded growth projections, expanded its service area, and increased its provider network.

Before their role at Soundpath Health, Chris worked at The Polyclinic starting from 2001. Initially, they were a contractor focused on negotiating financial agreements with health plans. Chris then climbed the ranks and was promoted to the position of Director of Operations, where they took on additional responsibilities such as claims processing, finance, and coding initiatives.

Earlier in their career, Chris served as the Director of Provider Delivery Systems at PacifiCare of Washington from 1994 to 2001. Chris played a key role in expanding the health plan into multiple counties and was involved in the acquisition and integration of Pacific Health Plans, resulting in significant business growth. Chris also played a key role in system conversion to PacifiCare's common information system platform.

Chris began their career at Pacific Health Plans in 1987 as a Network Manager.
