Craig Stephens

Sanfilippo Family Professor, Biology And Public Health at Santa Clara University

Craig Stephens is the Sanfilippo Family Professor of Biology and Public Health and a Professor of Biology at Santa Clara University, where Craig has been since 1996. At SCU, Craig has taught courses in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Public Health, and Biofuels, and founded the Biotechnology and Public Health Programs. Additionally, Craig has served as Director of the Public Health Program and Chair of the Biology Department. Prior to SCU, Craig held a postdoctoral research position at Stanford University and worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at UC Berkeley. Craig has extensive experience with The Tech Museum of Innovation, contributing nearly 15 years as a judge and consultant for The Tech Awards. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Biology from Roanoke College.
