Jim Morton

Jim Morton is an accomplished Information Technology professional with extensive experience in managing and modernizing IT infrastructures across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Jim has been instrumental in implementing significant infrastructure upgrades since February 2020. Prior to this role, Jim pursued a Master of Science in Management with a focus on IT and Project Management while self-studying various technologies. Jim's experience includes key positions at Fidelity Investments, where responsibilities included managing capacity and performance for over 22,000 servers, and leading operational reforms at First Horizon Home Loan Corporation. Jim's career also includes roles at Pier 1 Imports and earlier in their career, where foundational experiences were gained in distributed systems management and satellite systems within the United States Air Force. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology from Colorado Technical University.
