Emily Hurd is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in instructional support, advocacy, and tutoring. Currently serving as a Senior Instructional Aide at Santa Cruz County Office of Education and as a Writing Tutor with Developmental Learning Solutions, Emily provides tailored assistance to learners facing various challenges, including anxiety and learning disabilities. Emily's previous roles include Patient Advocate at Southside Community Health Services, where exceptional communication and organizational skills were applied to support underserved populations. Additionally, Emily possesses experience as a Spanish Interpreter and Public Health Outreach Specialist, showcasing strong bilingual capabilities and a commitment to community engagement. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Psychology from Earlham College and has completed coursework in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Minnesota.
