Vanessa Romero has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Associate Superintendent for School Support and previously as Assistant Superintendent for School & Instructional Support at Santa Fe Public Schools since July 2009. Additionally, Vanessa has held the role of Principal at Ramirez Thomas Elementary since July 2014, as well as at Salazar Elementary, where oversight included a diverse student body of 400, including approximately 230 English Language Learners. Vanessa holds a Master’s degree in Educational Management & Development from New Mexico State University (2006-2007) and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies & Spanish from the same institution (1995-2000).
