Louis Powell

Louis Powell is an accomplished Executive Director currently leading Santa Maria Urban Ministry since March 2025. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Fundraising at Housing Matters, where significant achievement in individual giving was realized, and in leadership roles across various non-profit organizations, notably in youth and community ministries. An experienced business consultant since 2008, Louis has worked with both non-profit and for-profit entities to maximize outcomes. Previous positions include Business Operations & Communications Manager at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church and General Manager roles in the scuba industry, demonstrating a diverse skill set in management, fundraising, community engagement, and strategic development. Louis holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Florida State University.
