Khai Vuong has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Khai began their career at UCI Medical Center's Information Systems division as an intern, where they gained experience working with servers, data storage systems, and data centers. Khai then joined Santa Monica Seafood, where they held various roles and demonstrated strong leadership skills. As the VP of IT, they enhanced and transformed IT operations to accommodate the company's rapid growth, provided strategic leadership to team leads, and cultivated a strong group of IT leaders. As the Director of Information Technology, they developed and executed IT strategies, policies, and guidelines, expanded management scope to encompass different sub-departments within IT, and optimized business processes. Prior to these roles, Khai served as an Information Technology Manager and Systems Administrator at Santa Monica Seafood, where they oversaw daily IT operations and designed/managed IT infrastructures. Additionally, they worked as a Regional IT Director at SlingStone IT, providing consulting services to various companies while also supporting Santa Monica Seafood. Khai Vuong holds a Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, which was completed from 1997 to 2001. In addition, Khai Vuong has received the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the American Association for Lean Six Sigma Certification in 2021.
