Zakkiyyah Osuigwe

Zakkiyyah Osuigwe is a seasoned transportation planner with extensive experience in urban planning and community development. Currently serving as a Transportation Planner for the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners since September 2019, Zakkiyyah coordinates planning programs while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Previous roles include FCS Extension Agent II at UF/IFAS Extension Miami-Dade County, SMART Program Instructor and Recruiter, Program Development Manager at Escambia County BCC, and Urban Planner II. Zakkiyyah's background also includes serving as an Assistant Crew Leader for the US Census Bureau and a Chief Master-at-Arms in the US Navy. Zakkiyyah holds a Master of Arts in Human Resources & Management and Leadership from Webster University and a Bachelor's in Urban & Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University.
