Deborah Parker Wong

Deborah Parker Wong, MSc, serves as a Lecturer in Wine Studies at San Jose State University and as the National Editor for Slow Wine USA, focusing on sustainable wine practices. In addition to roles at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and Santa Rosa Junior College as an adjunct professor, Deborah is a Global Wine Editor for both THE SOMM JOURNAL and The Tasting Panel Magazine. With extensive experience as a professional wine and spirits judge in various prestigious competitions, Deborah has also held positions in education and consulting, including Director of Education at Discover Wine & Spirits Academy. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Viticulture and Enology at California State University, Fresno, Deborah's educational background includes a diploma from WSET and a degree in Marketing and Public Relations from San Francisco State University.
