Vernon Vera

Vernon Vera has extensive experience in community planning and development, currently serving as the Director of Planning & Community Development for the Tule River Tribe since June 2018. In this role, Vernon focuses on enhancing Tribal community infrastructure, including roads, telecommunications, and housing. Additionally, Vernon has been the Tribal Administrator for the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi-Yokut Tribe since November 2017. Prior experience includes a successful tenure as an Independent Resource Development Consultant from January 1998 to 2017, where Vernon specialized in grant writing for various community and environmental initiatives. Vernon holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Law & Society, as well as a Master of Arts in Public Historical Studies, from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
