Rui Miguel Santos

Rui Miguel Santos is an experienced professional in the banking sector, currently serving as Chief of Staff to the CEO at Santander Portugal since November 2016. Rui has held various leadership roles, including Head of Development & Talent Management and Head of Responsible Banking, focusing on monitoring ESG metrics and sustainability initiatives. Previously, Rui was the Head of Internal Communication and Brand at Banco Santander Totta, overseeing brand identity and institutional campaigns. Rui's career began in communication roles at Santander Portugal and included a position as a Credit Risk Analyst at BCI, where financial data analysis and risk modeling were key responsibilities. Rui holds degrees in Sustainable Finance, Senior Management, and banking administration, complemented by ongoing education in European banking at IESE Business School.
