John Hammersley

John Hammersley is a seasoned compliance professional currently serving as the Director of Compliance Advisory at Santander UK since September 2023. With extensive experience in the financial sector, Hammersley has held the position of UK Head of Compliance at HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management since September 2015. Prior to that, Hammersley worked at Lloyds Banking Group in various compliance roles from February 2010 to August 2015, including Senior Manager of Lloyds Group Compliance. Earlier in the career, Hammersley served as a Manager in Financial Services Advisory at Deloitte from September 2003 to February 2010. Hammersley holds a BA(Hons) in Law & Business from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, earned between 1998 and 2002.
