Miguel Angel Sanchez Ruiz is a seasoned epidemiologist with extensive experience in public health, particularly in managing and researching infectious disease control. Currently serving as an ECDC EU Intervention Epidemiologist Fellow at Santé publique France, Miguel's previous roles include facilitating the COVID-19 Vaccines Pillar at the WHO Regional Office for Africa and working with Médecins Sans Frontières on surveillance and vaccination initiatives in multiple countries, including Venezuela and Zimbabwe. Miguel has also contributed to the development of health management information systems and has a solid academic background in epidemiology and public health, including a master's degree from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. With training from various institutions, including ECDC and MSF, Miguel possesses a diverse skill set in health service management, research, and epidemiological assessment.
