Jane Barry

Jane Barry is an experienced medical professional currently serving as the Medical Director of Immunology for Galapagos, overseeing Medical Affairs as Therapy Lead for the UK and Ireland since April 2021. Previously, Jane held the position of Associate Director in Medical Affairs at Gilead Sciences, focusing on Immunology, Rheumatology, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease from June 2019 to April 2021. Jane has a strong background in rare diseases and gene therapy from a tenure as Senior Medical Manager at bluebird bio, and extensive experience at Eli Lilly and Company where roles included Senior Clinical Research Scientist and Clinical Research Scientist, specializing in various therapeutic areas. Jane’s career began at Janssen-Cilag as a Senior Medical Information Pharmacist. Jane holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Rhodes University, obtained between 1993 and 1996.
