Jim Matthews

Jim Matthews is an experienced drilling professional with a career spanning several decades in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Drilling Supervisor/Superintendent at Santos Ltd since June 2020, Jim previously held similar titles at ConocoPhillips from July 2013 to June 2020. Prior to that, Jim worked as an Offshore Drilling Supervisor for various companies including Shell and Chevron from 1996 to 2013. Jim's career began at Sedco Forex, where a notable achievement included being the first UK Engineer Trainee hired. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Sunderland, earned between 1972 and 1977.
