Mark Thompson is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Onshore Technical Engineering Manager and Site Manager at Santos Ltd since August 2014, Mark is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Gobe Processing Facility and previously held roles such as Production Superintendent and Field Engineering Superintendent. Prior to Santos Ltd, Mark worked at BP from January 2010 to August 2014 in various positions, including Operations Superintendent and Operations Turnaround Lead, where responsibilities included overseeing health, safety, and environmental performance, as well as optimizing operational processes. Mark holds a degree in Chemical and Process Engineering with Fuel and Energy Technology from The University of Sheffield, earned between 1995 and 1998.
